AVERAGE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH

 

We hear so often Real Estate stats that cite the Average House Price in any given market. The major news papers are bad for this, just regurgitating the latest monthly release from the local real estate board. 

 

The average price however is bar far the most misleading stat of any in Real Estate, even more than Days on Market! But that's a another blog.

LAKEVIEW NEW INFILL CONSTRUCTION

There has been some talk lately about the amount of old homes in Lakeview being knocked down and replaced with new "infill" construction. There are at least 6 to 8 homes going up right now. Like any change, it comes with the good and the bad.

PUMPKIN GIVEAWAY THANK YOU

Thank you to everyone who supported this year's pumpkin giveaway for the Regina Food Bank. It was a huge success as we raised over 1000 lbs of food in just over 3 hours!! A big thanks goes out to the Lakeshore Sobey's for allowing me to buy the pumpkins from them and use the front of the store for the event. Thanks again and we'll see you next year!

PUMPKIN GIVEAWAY UPDATE

Thank You!! Thank You!!! Thank You!!! Thank You!!! - Not sure else how to put it! The 1st Annual LivingInRegina.com Pumpkin Giveaway was a huge success. We gave away a bunch of pumpkins and best of all raised over 1000 lbs of food for the Regina Food Bank.

It was a terrific day and the weather was perfect! Thanks again to everyone who helped and supported the day.

CITY OF REGINA AFFORDABLE HOUSING

The City of Regina has launched a new initiative to create some affordable housing in Regina's inner city. There are 4 lots available for $5000 per lot. The hope is that housing providers will forward that discount to new occupants. The address are 1523 Rae Street, 1241 Pasqua Street, 961 and 861 Retallack Street.
